Year 2 – Virtual Trajectories – Final Project

For this assignments brief, we were asked to create a VR game with a theme and mechanic of our interest. The game should consist of interactive experiences, levels, play progression, and feedback (sound or visual feedback). I began to think about what type of game I would want to create. First, I wanted to make a game which placed the player in ethical dilemmas and they would choose different path option responses. This interested me because I am really interested in ethics and I think if the player is placed in an immersive environment such as virtual reality, then they will experience the ethical dilemma more intensely. However, I ran into a problem where I was not sure if this game idea would have a specific outcome the player should arrive to. There was no way the player could get awarded points since there technically was no right or wrong answer choices in the game. I then decided to scrap the idea and start over with a horror themed game. This would allow me to follow the basic gameplay rules and make a more fitting game for this assignment brief.
